I purchased a toyota in June. At the beginning of October I noticed the clear coat was chipping. I took it to the dealer had 3 people look at it and each person (not knowing what the other said ) stated three diff. problems. One comment I got was that's what you get for buying a black car. I called toyota and was told sorry there's nothing we can do, our paint meets EPA guidelines. I am now stuck with a repair job averaging close to $ 3,000. I am told this will need to be done quick before my hood and trunk start rusting. Toyota refuses to assist. I filed a complain with CCA, toyota never responded. I am told this will go on file but they found this issue to be in my favor. Doesn't help with the repair cost. Just will educate the next consumer. Thanks Toyota. VW or Honda next time.
